School of Nursing

If you want a career in the rewarding health science field of nursing, the School of Nursing is the place to start. The purpose of the nursing programs is to provide education leading to a Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing or an Associate of Science in Nursing degree, including career mobility for Paramedics and Licensed Practical Nurses.  Upon successful completion of the program, the graduates of the Practical Nursing program are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-PN examination, which is required to obtain state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and graduates of the Associate of Science in Nursing program are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-RN examination, which is required to obtain a state licensure as a Registered Nurse.

With an associate degree or certificate from Ivy Tech Community College, you'll have the credentials to enter the job market to start a good-paying job right out of college, or continue your education at a four-year institution.
