Workforce Certification Center

The mission of the Workforce Certification Center is to work with the Ivy Tech Workforce & Economic Development Office to:

• Provide training and continuing education to better prepare customers for taking certification exams.
• Evaluate and select workforce certification programs needed in Indiana's workplaces and to provide information about available certifications, promote certification opportunities and educate about the value of certification.

Workforce certification is a crucial economic development tool because it helps employers identify prospective employees who have the appropriate knowledge & skills in today's economy. Industries in today's economy are affected by rapid technological and market change and therefore need workers who can meet the needs of this ever changing market place. Partnering with Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is an investment in economic development.
