Student Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (SCIMA)

The SCIMA is an Ivy Tech professional student organization sponsored by the Indiana East Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants, the world's largest organization devoted to management accountants, financial management and information management professionals.

Monthly meetings and activities are held at Ivy Tech and students may also attend the Indiana East IMA meetings and activities.

Dues are optional for the Ivy Tech Chapter and only $28.00 for students who want to join the National IMA Chapter.

• Meeting Ivy Tech Graduates & Learning What they do as Accountants
• Motivational Speakers
• & Many others based upon what the SCIMA members request

• Cook Outs
• Progressive Dinners
• Christmas Caroling and Party
• Holiday Banquet
• Field Trips
• & Many others based upon what you would like to do.

SCIMA has sponsored students to attend National IMA Conventions for many years. Students have attended conventions in:

• Las Vegas, New York City, Seattle, St Louis, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, San Antonio & New Orleans

Twelve accounting students are attending the 2002 Convention in San Diego
