Mentoring Program

Goal:

The goal of the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana Mentoring program is to provide appropriate support services and other incentives to minority students enrolled in the Associate of Science in Nursing and Practical Nursing Programs, enabling them to complete their educational objectives and earning their degree or certification without interrupting their course of study through withdrawal. This program is made possible through funding from the Wayne County Foundation.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana Mentoring Program is to serve as a significant unit of the College to promote increased academic success, persistence, and the successful graduation of students of color and other at-risk students through mentoring activities and support programs that encourage academic excellence, self-esteem, and personal growth of participating students.
