Student Leadership Academy
Description
Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a leadership development activity. Students apply to participate and are notified of their acceptance by early to mid-September. All accepted members of the Academy will attend a statewide Kickoff event in Indianapolis in early October. Members will attend monthly meetings in November, December, January, February and March and be eligible for monthly reward activities as well. Members will also be automatically accepted to the Alternative Spring Break Program, should they choose to participate. Our 2009 Alternative Spring Break Trip will be to Boston, MA.
Graduates who have met all completion requirements, will be eligible to attend a Capstone Conference where they will enjoy a stay at a hotel in Indianapolis, additional leadership training, and an opportunity to meet other Academy graduates from across the state. Students who have participated in the past have described it as a life-changing experience and one of the most fun and rewarding things they have ever participated in. Application Forms & Information
To apply for the 2008-2009 Student Leadership Academy, the Application Form must be submitted no later than FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2008.
