Grade Point Average (GPA)
The GPA is a numerical indication of the student's
performance in all courses in which quality points can be earned.
The GPA is calculated by dividing the number of quality points earned
by the number of quality hours earned. The term and cumulative GPA
calculated to three decimal places. Under extenuating circumstances,
a student may petition the Academic Status Committee to exclude
hours of coursework from the cumulative GPA calculation. Courses
excluded from the cumulative GPA calculation as a result of a petition
will not be counted as earned and cannot be used to satisfy program
requirements for degree-declared students.
