Tuition & Fees
Ivy Tech has the most affordable tuition in Indiana and, unlike many colleges, we have no application or parking fees.
Efffective Fall 2007, course fees are $95.00 per credit hour for Indiana residents. And, thanks to an Indiana/Ohio tuition reciprocity agreement, residents of Butler, Darke, Preble, Mercer, Shelby and Van Wert counties in Ohio also pay Indiana resident fees for most programs at Ivy Tech Community College–Richmond. (The tuition reciprocity agreement does not apply to the nursing, Senior Scholars or high school-based dual credit programs at Ivy Tech–Richmond).
For more information, contact Student Affairs at 1-800-659-4562 x 1202 or 765-966-2656 x 1202.
Fees for other non-Indiana residents are $193.30 per credit hour for on-campus courses, and $124.35 per credit for distance education classes.
Non-Indiana residents who do not live in the reciprocity-eligible Ohio counties listed above may qualify for a waiver of out-of-state tuition if employed by an Indiana employer or a graduate of an Indiana high school. Contact the Registrar for details.
In addition to the credit-hour fees, all students are charged a technology fee of $40 per semester, and a consumables fee may be applied to some courses. There is an additional charge of $10 per credit hour for Internet-based distance education courses. Fees and tuition are subject to change without notice.

Refund Policy
If you drop or withdraw from a course, you must submit a Change of Enrollment to the Office of Student Affairs or contact the Office of the Registrar by phone. The fee refund for voluntary withdrawal will be processed only after the appropriate form is filed.
The College will refund student fees on the following schedule for a regular semester (late registration fees are not refundable):
Refunds are calculated on business days regardless of holidays. Business days are considered to be Monday through Friday. Technology fees, consumable fees, and tuition are refunded at the same rate noted below. With regard to the technology fee, if the student withdraws from all of his/her classes during the 100% refund period, the technology fee will be refunded. If the student is enrolled in any classes beyond the 100% refund period, the technology fee will not be refunded. For purposes of the refund period, the “first day” is calculated differently for terms of 12 weeks or more and for terms of less than 12 weeks. For terms of 12 weeks or more, the refund period would begin on Monday of the first week of classes that a particular course meets. For terms of less than 12 weeks, the refund period would begin on the first day the course meets. For terms of less than 12 weeks, if a class begins on a Saturday or Sunday, the refund period would begin on the following Monday.
