Ivy Tech Community College and Purdue University complete Industrial Technology transfer agreement

INDIANAPOLIS – Ivy Tech Community College and Purdue University have teamed up to provide expanded transfer of credit opportunities for Hoosiers throughout the state.

Through the newly established articulation agreement between Ivy Tech Community College’s Manufacturing and Industrial Technology program and Purdue’s Industrial Technology program, students may now begin their education at Ivy Tech, earning an Associate of Science degree, and transfer to Purdue for the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree.  The agreement includes all Ivy Tech campuses statewide and Purdue’s West Lafayette campus and ten statewide technology locations; it is the first agreement between the two institutions to include all Ivy Tech campuses.

“This agreement continues to extend our relationship with Purdue.  Our goal is to make higher education seamless for more and more Hoosiers.  We look forward to further agreements between both schools in the future,” said Ivy Tech president, Tom Snyder.

Ivy Tech Community College is one of the nation’s largest statewide community college system and the state’s second largest public post-secondary institution with over 110,000 students enrolled annually.  Ivy Tech has 23 campuses throughout Indiana.  It serves as the state's engine of workforce development, offering affordable degree programs and training that are aligned with the needs of its community along with courses and programs that transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana.  It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
