Award for Excellence Goes to Local Students
Four students from Ivy Tech Community College, Richmond are recipients of an Indiana Career and Technical Education Award for Excellence from the Indiana Commission on Vocational and Technical Education. The awards were presented at a public ceremony on February 12, 2007 at the Indiana Government Center. The day’s events also included a luncheon, acknowledgement by the Indiana Senate and a reception in the Government Center atrium.
Ivy Tech Richmond was well represented at the awards ceremony with four students, Timothy Baker of Liberty, Mary Gentry-Adams of Hagerstown, Christy Mosey of Richmond, and Morris Stevens of Connersville each receiving a postsecondary student award for excellence. A total of eleven Indiana postsecondary students received awards.
The Awards for Excellence program is sponsored by the Commission on Career and Technical Education, Indiana Department of Workforce Development, in cooperation with the Indiana Association for Career and Technical Education. |
