In 1969, the Ivy Tech Foundation was organized as a nonprofit
corporation with the mission of providing support for the College
and its students. Ivy Tech Foundation partners with donors to invest
in Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana students, faculty and programs
to build stronger communities and a better Indiana. The Foundation,

During her senior year of high school she was afflicted with multiple sclerosis. While the malady dashed her chances for further education it did not deter her determined, courageous spirit which she continues to share today. Through the years she has tutored many students in the public school system, helping them achieve academic success. She has repeatedly shown great tenacity in helping others overcome obstacles in their own lives. This scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate financial need, with special consideration given to individuals with disabilities. After the legislature established the College, the Region 9 Board of Trustees appointed Pumerville the first director of the Whitewater Technical Institute.
In 1996 Mr. Pumerville entered into a life estate agreement with the Ivy Tech Foundation that would create, upon his death, the Frank and Hazel Pumerville Endowed Scholarship. The Frank and Hazel Pumerville Scholarship was established in August 2005 and is for students who have financial need.
