Information Systems Program Information
The Computer Information Systems curriculum is designed to provide
flexible and comprehensive training. Instruction includes both theoretical
concepts and practical applications needed to produce graduates
able to function in positions of responsibility.
Automated systems allow for the integration of several functionally
related applications such as word processing, database management,
spreadsheets, programming, electronic mail systems, graphics generation
and telecommunications. These systems may be stand-alone, shared
logic, distributed or integrated. Demand for employees with computer
and business skills is particularly high in small- and medium-sized
firms which create, transmit and control information by using computer
technology as a management tool.
