Individuals who may benefit by following a written transcript along with the online orientation video may download a copy here. 1. Complete Mandatory Online New Student Orientation
All Ivy Tech – Bloomington students must to complete Online New Student Orientation through their Campus Connect account. To access online orientation, click the “New Student Orientation” link in the quick links list on the left side of the Campus Connect home page.
2. Take the COMPASS assessment or receive a waiver (if necessary)
The COMPASS is given on a walk-in basis through the Testing Center in room C234. For more information on the COMPASS or how to waive the assessment, visit www.ivytech.edu/compass. If you have questions regarding the COMPASS, please call the Testing Center at 812-330-6137.
3. Schedule a mandatory Beginning Advising and Registration (BEAR) session

How to set up Campus Connect
1. Type https://cc.ivytech.edu in your web browser and press ENTER.
2. Click the FIRST TIME USERS LINK to set up your account and establish your password.
3. Enter your name, birth-date, zip code, and your Banner ID (C#). You must enter the information as it appears on your admissions application.
4. Your new Campus Connect username will be displayed in bold. Create a password for your account. It must be at least 8 digits long and should contain a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and a special character (!._*)
5. Enter answers for at least 3 security questions.

Welcome to Ivy Tech Community College. New Student Orientation at Ivy Tech Community College is mandatory and free to all new degree seeking students.
Orientation is now available on-line by logging onto your Campus Connect account at cc. ivytech.edu. Go to “Quick Links” and click the “Online New Student Orientation” link. The New Student Orientation includes an audio/video component. You will want to have headphones/ear buds available before you begin the orientation.
If you plan to attend orientation on-campus you can schedule an appointment at https://am.ivytech.edu/ameonlineec/, click the “Go to Prospective and New Student Portal” then choose your campus and date. You may also contact the Office of Student Affairs at your campus to schedule an on-campus orientation.
Note- Students who plan to complete the orientation in an on-campus session are encouraged to bring their own set of headphones/ear buds for the audio portion of New Student Orientation

What You Need To Know:
Students need to apply to the college before taking the on-line orientation or attending on-campus orientation. You can apply on-line at http://www.ivytech.edu/apply-now/.
Students will need their C# (Student ID) to sign up for their Campus Connect ID and Password. If you have applied and not received your C#, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at your campus for information on how to get your C#.
This information will be needed to complete the second part of orientation.
Length of New Student Orientation is approximately one hour.
On-campus New Student Orientations have limited space. Priority will be given to students attending orientation. If you bring parents, spouse or friends, please be aware of the limited seating. Please do not bring children.

How to set up Campus Connect
New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new degree seeking students and degree seeking students who have been out of school for two years or more. You must complete orientation before you can take the COMPASS Assessment or register for classes. Before you attend orientation you MUST have completed the following steps:

Sessions will last about 2 hours. You must arrive prior to the start time to check in and be able to stay for the entire session. Students may bring a guest: parent or significant other. No children please. Please do not bring another new Ivy Tech student with you as your guest. Every Ivy Tech student must make their own reservation.
