The East Chicago Campus (Lake County) is housed in the former East Chicago School System Area Career Center building. The building is named for East Chicago Vietnam War hero Lance Corporal Emilio De La Garza, Jr.

The campus serves as a feeder source for the health programs approved at the Gary and Valparaiso campuses. Due to the industrial nature of the area, the campus focuses on programs in applied sciences, technology and computer that meets the skills training needs of the local economy. New programs are added as the community and industrial landscape change and areas of opportunity develop. The recent addition of a Mortuary Science program at the East Chicago De La Garza campus will be one of three in the State of Indiana and one of only 50 nationwide.

The Gary Campus is located in Gary, IN (Lake County). The campus houses both classes and the administrative offices for the Northwest Region. While the service area of Ivy Tech Community College Northwest also includes Porter and LaPorte counties to the east and Jasper, Newton and Starke counties to the south, the largest constituency comes from Lake County.

The Gary Campus has taken the leadership in training for each of the major areas of opportunity in Lake County. They include the steel industry, health care and tourism. The campus is also working with business and labor partners to offer training, skill enhancement and apprenticeship degree programs to employees.

Along with the Valparaiso Campus, the Michigan City Campus (LaPorte County) serves the eastern most area of Ivy Tech Community College Northwest’s region. It is the newest campus added to the Northwest Region. Major cities in its district are Michigan City and LaPorte and the smaller surrounding towns and communities to the south and east.

The campus provides the LaPorte County area with health care, business administration, culinary and technology programs.

The  Valparaiso Campus is located at 3100 Ivy Tech Drive in the Eastport Industrial Centre. The 86,000 square-foot campus, built on 37 acres of land, is designed to provide a supportive environment for learning. The campus has state-of-the-art classrooms, a cyber café, a large student commons, several areas for student gathering, and areas for students to work together in small groups. "

Ivy Tech Community College offers classes in the Portage area at Willowcreek Middle School. The evening classes include college preparatory classes in reading, writing, math, medical terminology, business and introduction to paralegal. The business class is an accelerated program that will allow students to earn their associates degree in business administration at the Portage site. As the demand for classes increase, more programs will be added to the curriculum.  Call for office hours and class times.
