Fort Wayne Student Success Center

The mission of the Ivy Tech-Northeast Student Success Center is to assist students in their transition to college, help them to develop skills that will aid in their ability to be successful, and to provide services that will help remove barriers to graduation.

The primary goal of the Student Success Center is personal success. We offer individualized support for students to help them reach their highest potential.

Ways we assist students

  • Clarifying life and career goals
  • Providing support and encouragement
  • Working with students who are in need of academic, social, or personal help
  • Developing an individualized College Success Action Plan mapping out steps that will lead to degree completion
  • Providing guidance, support, and resources to enhance education
  • Assisting with personal challenges such as time management, test anxiety, study skills, etc.
  • Encouraging and facilitating the development of critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Identifying other experiences that will enhance life, educational, and cultural goals
  • Evaluating progress towards career and life goals, degree completion, and transfer

Ways we assist faculty/staff:

  • Serving as a liaison between instructor and student
  • Reinforcing classroom expectations
  • Facilitating Early Alert process: Follow up with at-risk students identified by faculty and staff
  • Facilitating midterm grade reporting: Follow up with students regarding their academic performance
