In its second year, Ivy Tech Community College Northeast’s A Reason to Taste fundraiser dinner and silent auction on Oct. 12 drew more than 200 people and raised nearly $60,000. One-hundred percent of the money benefited the Ivy Tech Foundation, dedicated to student scholarships.

Student chefs compete with each other for the opportunity to design and execute the menu for A Reason to Taste.

After competing in Ivy Tech Community College Northeast's annual Mystery Basket Competition Jan. 11, 2013,  seven students were selected for Ivy Tech's spring culinary trip to Europe. Those selected and their chaperone are (left to right) Mark Crawford, Chad Rolli, Kathy Burner, Chef Chaperone Jeff Albertson, Nicole Cherry, Mike Trabel, John Mullett and Ashley Haegert.
