Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne is offering the GED test on computer only beginning Feb.8, 2012.
The test will be offered several days a week-every week. The schedule will be available to you on the registration web site.
Requirements:
- 18 years and over AND a resident of Indiana for at least 30 days
ID – valid (not expired) state or government issued ID from Indiana or out of state ID with a utility bill from Indiana showing 30 days of service
- 16-17 years of age-also a resident of Indiana for at least 30 days
ID-state or government issued from Indiana or out of state ID with a utility bill from Indiana showing 30 days of service
Exit interview signed by any Indiana superintendent
Exit interview form is available to print on the registration site
- Credit card or debit card for online payment
- E-mail account—(an e-mail account can be created at the registration site)
To register: After Feb. 6, 2012
When registering use your name EXACTLY as it appears on your valid state issued ID
- Use any computer-at home or at a local library
- Go to: www.GEDcomputer.com
Create an account and go to your e-mail to get account activation e-mail with registration code
- Go back into your account with the user name and password you created and complete the 2 registration forms:
a. Standard GED testing form
b. Jurisdiction specific form
- Any additional forms needed- will put registration on hold-an e-mail will give you information on additional requirements that may be needed
- After you are eligible to test then you can schedule your exam-you may do it immediately or come back at a later date
- Select the GED 2002 series exam
- Select your language
- Select tests you wish to take-you may take all 5 tests in one sitting or take one a day. All 5 tests must be completed in 60 days to be considered as a complete GED battery
- Agree to the non-Disclosure Agreement (if you do not agree you cannot move forward)
- Choose a test center—3 close options will be available to you
- Choose test date and time-options will be available
- Payment-credit card or voucher—payment must be made to reserve a seat at any center
- Agree to testing policies and submit the order
- An e-mail will be generated to the e-mail account you created in the registration process with details of the appointment-date/time/test center address/ID required /cancellation policies and what to bring to the center to test
- On test day
a. Arrive early for the test
b. Have your valid state issued ID (if out of state have your utility bill showing 30 days of service in Indiana)
c. If 16 or 17 have your state issued ID and exit interview sheet (if needed have your utility bill showing 30 days of service in Indiana)

If you need a copy of your GED exam and you have taken the test in the state of Indiana:

- Fill out the information requested
- Cost: $5 for employment verification letter; $15 for a duplicate certificate; $15 for a duplicate transcript
