TERRE HAUTE — Ivy Tech Community College is reporting that the college hit a record high for first day of fall class enrollment. With 77,013 students enrolled statewide for class Monday, the college’s total head count was up 10.3 percent from the first day of classes last fall.

In addition, more students are taking more credit hours as the full-time equivalent numbers increased by 11.5 percent to a record fall high of 44,765.

The Wabash Valley Region increase in head count was 16.4 percent with an enrollment of 5,322. FTE increased by 14.4 percent to 3,246.73.
