Daniels names 5 to Ivy Tech board

Gov. Mitch Daniels has made appointments to the board of Ivy Tech Community College. Five new members will join the 14-member Ivy Tech board. Each of the college's 14 regions must be represented.

The new members, whose appointments begin July 1, are:

-- David Findlay, of Winona Lake, executive vice president of administration and chief financial officer and secretary of Lakeland Financial Corporation. Findlay also serves on the board of directors for the Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce and the United Way.

-- Linda Buskirk, of Fort Wayne, president of Accountable Solutions, Inc. Buskirk previously served as the vice president of administration and development at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne.

-- Steve Schreckengast, of Lafayette, president of Citation Homes. Schreckengast is also a member of the Lafayette-West Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

-- Anne Shane, of Indianapolis, vice president of BioCrossroads. Shane also serves as the vice chairman of the Ivy Tech Central Indiana board of trustees.

-- Bob McCreary, of Oldenburg, retired from Ford Motor Company. McCreary previously served as the Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Labor from 1985 to 1989.

Terms expire July 1, 2010. They will replace the following board members whose terms have expired or are leaving the board: Larry Foster of Lakeville, Marvin Foote of Fort Wayne, Joseph Bumbleburg of Lafayette, John Griffin of Indianapolis and William Goins of Rushville.
