The Mechanical Engineering Technology program will educate skilled technicians who will work with engineers and other technicians to implement mechanical designs and to support engineering processes such as collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data and troubleshooting mechanical systems. Students will develop basic mechanical design skills and the appropriate science and math knowledge to enter the workforce and/or transfer to a four-year engineering technology program. The Associate of Science degree prepares you for transfer to a university to pursue a baccalaureate degree. The Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology transfers to some Indiana public and private colleges and universities. Graduates will also earn the Transfer General Education Certificate. To find out information about your transfer options to public and private universities, contact your academic advisor or the transfer office of your local Ivy Tech.
