Room Use Policy
The library classroom is used in several different ways. The library classrooms are first used for library class instruction and then are available for library research and other course-related student use. Occasionally faculty may wish to schedule a follow-up session to a library visit in this classroom. The room may be available for such use towards the end of the semester when the library instruction teaching load is less.
In the order of their priority, the library classroom uses are:
• Library Instruction (librarian-led sessions on information skills and concepts)
• Individual student use of library classroom
• Classroom space for courses which would benefit from occasional use of the facility

Scheduling Policy
Library Instruction
INSTRUCTORS: To schedule a library session for your class, contact the North Meridian Center library (921-4782) or Lawrence Campus library (921-4219) or submit an online request form. Please book your session AT LEAST one week in advance.
Other Uses
Instructors who wish to teach in the classroom without the help of a librarian must book the room AT LEAST 24 hours in advance. Contact the North Meridian Center library (921-4782) or Lawrence Campus library (921-4219) to schedule a session.
Except for Librarian-led Instruction, which is the priority use, the use of the classrooms is on a first-come, first-served basis. If necessary, reserve classroom sessions may be bumped in order to accommodate library instructional needs.

Student Use Policy
When not reserved for a specific class, the library classroom is available for academic use by individual students.
Students are asked to follow the rules listed below:
• A room schedule is posted showing daily reserved and available times. Individual students will be asked to give up their computers when a class is scheduled.
• During open times, the classroom is available for academic use by all Ivy Tech students. Recreational web surfing, emailing, etc. are not permitted and the workstations are reserved for course-ralated work.
• Access to the Internet through the Ivy Tech libraries is a privilege and should be treated as such. Misuse of email and the Internet can result in student disciplinary action.
