- Talk only in a whisper or very low voice.
- Continuous, ongoing conversation is not appropriate.
- Rowdy behavior (such as laughing, singing, throwing things) is not appropriate.
- No food is allowed in the library.
- Only bottled drinks with screw tops are allowed.
- Cell phones should be turned off or put on vibrate; they must be used outside of the library.
- Children under the age of 15 are welcome in the library but must be supervised at all times by a parent or adult guardian.
- Children at least 15 years of age may use the Ivy Tech Libraries unsupervised.

Information Resources Collection Policies
The primary mission of the library at Ivy Tech is to provide access to materials, information, and services that supports and supplements the educational mission of the College.
To further develop its collection, the Library's top priority is to purchase information resources and online access that directly support the needs of the students and faculty. The Library also recognizes its responsibility to respond to the needs of the College, faculty, administration, and staff, and to provide general information and some recreational reading for all its users.
Library Plans & Procedures
The Library Disaster Recovery Plan is now available online. This manual contains both general and specific instructions for responding to emergencies in the Ivy Tech Central Indiana Libraries. Central Indiana libraries include North Meridian Library, Fairbanks Library and the Public Safety Library.
