Try this simple typing test
just for fun:
- Select skill level--Leaf, Vine, or Tree.
- Select "Start Typing Test" button (with mouse).
- Type in the second text box the sentence that appears
in the box above it.
- When done, quickly click the "DONE" button (with mouse).
- A window with your typing speed should appear.
(Use CTRL-F5 to clear the page.)
Notice: This test doesn't really measure typing speed
and accuracy effectively. If you merely type in a few nonsense
characters and then quickly select "done," it will say that
you have an error and typed at a fantastic speed. So, use
the test as a simple gauge of basic typing fluency. Of course,
if after taking the test you find that you've made several
mistakes at a speed of less than 20 words per minute, you
might consider taking a keyboarding class to advance your
skills.
