Liberal Arts

The Associate of Arts and Associate of Science in Liberal Arts are transfer programs that provide you with an opportunity to complete the first two years of study leading to a bachelor's degree in liberal arts areas. Articulation agreements have been established with all the public, four-year universities in Indiana so that if you complete your associate degree, you may fulfill the requirements for a related bachelor's degree in an additional two years of full-time study at the university.

DEGREES AVAILABLE: Associate of Arts, Associate of Science. Availability of degrees varies by campus. Contact your campus of interest below for more information.

ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE (TRANSFER DEGREE)
Contact your campus of interest below to find out more about the Associate of Science transfer degree programs. Students are encouraged to review their options with their advisors, to consult the current catalog of the institution to which they wish to transfer, and to contact the institution to which they wish to transfer. Students may also contact the transfer office of their local Ivy Tech for further information.

LIBERAL ARTS CONCENTRATIONS

English and Communication: Ivy Tech's English and Communication concentration focuses on composition, communication, and literature. Sharpen your critical thinking and communication skills and prepare to transfer to a four year college or university English program.

Foreign Languages: There have never been more career opportunities for bilingual speakers. Ivy Tech's foreign language concentration gets you started on a four-year degree, giving you the fundamentals you'll need to succeed.

Humanities: Ivy Tech's humanities concentration brings together studies in history, literature, philosophy and other related disciplines. Students will learn valuable critical thinking and analytical skills and be prepared to continue on toward a bachelor's degree in humanities.

Life/Physical Science: Our life and physical sciences concentration is designed for students who plan to pursue further study in science. Classroom and laboratory time will prepare you to continue on to a bachelor's degree in the field of your choice.

Mathematics: Study algebra, geometry, calculus, and other topics in math at Ivy Tech Community College, and you'll be ready to move on to a four-year degree in this field.

Social/Behavioral Science: As a student in Ivy Tech's social and behavioral sciences concentration, you'll study human behavior and social and economic systems in preparation for further study in economics, political science, psychology, or sociology.
