Downtown Kokomo—210 W. Walnut Street, to be exact—is where you’ll find one of Ivy Tech’s graduates sitting right where she dreamt she’d be once she earned her college degree.
Lisa Brown-Schoenradt ’05 always thought it would be nice to have a large family, and when she had one, it was a dream come true. That dream, however, came at the cost of another—a college education. But Lisa never let go of the idea of earning a degree, even as she struggled as a single mother with seven children. Finally, that second dream came true as she walked across the stage to receive her associate’s degree in human services from Ivy Tech.
