School of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Ivy Tech’s school of Liberal Arts offers you an associate of science or associate of arts degree so you can transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree in a Liberal Arts major. You’ll receive broad exposure to a traditional Liberal Arts course of study, including art, English, communication, mathematics,  literature, psychology, philosophy, music, sociology, history, social sciences, and laboratory sciences. Although most studies use this degree as the foundation of a bachelor’s degree, you can also start a career in select fields.

Ashley Karickhoff

"Success"
Along the path to earning a quality education and landing a successful career, this alumna stopped at Ivy Tech. Meet Ashley Karickhoff.

Ashley Karickhoff recently graduated from Purdue University earning a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision and dean’s list honors along the way, but only after jumpstarting her education at Ivy Tech Community College. Just as thousands of Hoosiers across the state do each year, Ashley decided to stay close to home and save money on tuition by first attending Ivy Tech. Her decision, it seems, paid off. Ashley is now a contract specialist for the Veterans Health Administration.
