The competition will include two separate categories of contestants: 1.) current and prospective students, and 2.) alumni. Current and prospective students can win the first place prize of a $1,500 tuition grant to an Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region campus (Kokomo, Logansport, Peru and Wabash). Second place will receive a $750 tuition grant. Alumni can win gas cards and Ivy Tech apparel.
Each participant’s goal is to accumulate the most number of YouTube® views of their video. Finalists for first- and second-place prizes will be selected based on a formula that accounts for both total number of views and the average number of views. Winners will be selected on how well they answered the question, presentation and creativity. A third prize, Best of the Rest, will be awarded in both categories and will be a judges’ choice award.
