KOKOMO, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo nursing student Athena Young was recently named a 2009 Coca-Cola Scholars National Finalist by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. As a finalist, Young will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the fall 2009 semester.
Selection as a Coca-Cola Finalist was based on scores earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition also sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Young earned first-team honors for the state of Indiana.
