Workstudy
 Applicants must meet the following financial aid criteria:
  1. The College makes provision for financial assistance to any qualified person regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sex, age, national origin, physical or mental handicap.
  2. Student must have a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) ON FILE in the financial aid office.
  3. Student must have at least a 2.0 GPA in the previous semester attended and a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0.
  4. Student must have been in attendance at Ivy Tech for a minimum of one semester. Exceptions may be made where student demonstrates hardship or where student possesses special skills necessary to fill a vacancy in a critical area.
  5. College work-study eligibility will be evaluated based on:
    1. Student eligibility
    2. Availability of funds
    3. Demonstrated skill to do the job effectively
    4. Student academic standing
    5. Demonstrated need based on FAFSA information
  6. No appointment will be made to college work-study unless the student has demonstrated an unmet need.   Students with larger amounts of unmet need may receive priority consideration for appointment.   Students with special technical skills may receive priority consideration based on the need of the student and the skill needs of the available position.
  7. College work-study students who register for less than half time credits or who fall below half-time status during any semester, will be removed from the College work study program.   Additionally, any College work-study student who does not conform to the College’s policy regarding standards of progress will be terminated after two consecutive semesters of non-progress.
  8. If a student wishes to terminate his/her employment with the College, he/she must notify the supervisor in writing.
  9. The College will hire students for College work-study positions as vacancies arise.  Application for College work-study does not guarantee employment.
