The Federal Work-Study Program (FWS) is designed to provide part-time jobs to students with financial need. A student must be enrolled at least half-time status and have a GPA of as least 2.0. The government pays part of the salary for work-study students and the employer pays part. To apply, submit the FAFSA, then inform the Office of Financial Aid of your interest in this program and to complete an application.
The State Work-Study Program is similar to FWS, but is limited to summer employment. The student must be a state grant recipient (i.e. Frank O'Bannon grant or 21st Century Scholar) from the prior year. A student does not have to be enrolled in summer classes to participate but must plan to enroll the proceeding fall semester.
