Financial aid Financial aid is any type of financial assistance that helps a student meet college costs. Financial assistance from federal and state sources is usually based upon demonstrated financial need measured by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA should be submitted as soon after January 1 as possible and no later than June 30 every year. To qualify for financial aid from the State of Indiana, your FAFSA must be submitted by March 1 each year. If financial aid has not been awarded by the first day of class, the Business Office will require a down payment.
Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) forms are available at any Ivy Tech Financial Aid Office. Allow four to six weeks for processing most financial aid applications. Apply for assistance at any time. FAFSA forms may be submitted through the Internet by using FAFSA on the Web. The address is www.fafsa.ed.gov. |
