Transfer of credits
If you are requesting that credits be evaluated for transfer purposes from a college or university you previously attended, you must submit a separate “Request for Official Transcript” form to the appropriate institution(s). Once submitted to Ivy Tech Community College – Kokomo, the transcript(s) will be evaluated and you will be notified if any credits are to be transferred.

Applying for admission All new students must complete the following steps:

Complete the application for admission.
This form must be completed and returned to the Kokomo campus or completed online. No application fee is required.

Provide proof of high school completion.
All students must provide proof of high school completion. You must provide one of the following:

  • If you have completed an Associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited college, submit an official transcript from the college/university that indicates the date of college graduation; or,
  • If you have attended a regionally accredited college, but have not completed a degree, an official transcript from that college may be submitted on which the date of high school graduation is indicated; or,
  • If you are a high school graduate from a public school, home school, private school or a high school correspondence school, you must provide an official transcript consisting of courses and grades received, graduation date, and official signature and/or seal; or
  • You may submit an official GED report of passing test scores from the American Council on Education (ACE). Nursing students are to refer to “Nursing Admissions Requirements"

If necessary, participate in academic skills assessment.
Assessment testing may be waived if the applicant submits either:
