Thank you for your interest in attending Ivy Tech Community College! We welcome you to campus whether you plan to earn an associate’s degree or just want to take some classes. We are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and have partnerships with many other colleges and universities. Our academic excellence, affordable tuition and flexible course offerings make Ivy Tech Community College a great choice for thousands of central Indiana residents.
The first step to getting started is to complete a free Ivy Tech application (regardless of the number of courses you wish to take at Ivy Tech). Click here to apply on-line… If you have earned credit hours (“C” or higher) from an accredited school, please forward official transcripts from the institution(s) where the work was completed to Ivy Tech’s Office of the Registrar. Once received, the Registrar will evaluate the coursework and post any earned credit hours to your Ivy Tech transcript. It is recommended that students submit official transcripts well in advance of scheduling classes so that all completed coursework and any necessary prerequisites appear on their Ivy Tech transcript prior to registration. Click here for the Office of the Registrar If you attended and earned college credit from a school outside the United States, please click here for additional information… (Link to Admissions/International students) |

Ivy Tech courses have currency! Thanks to our partnerships with other colleges and universities, credits from Ivy Tech transfer to many four-year schools, including the state’s largest institutions. You can continue your education by transferring to a four-year institution after you complete coursework or an associate’s degree at Ivy Tech, which can result in tremendous cost savings. Students can complete their first two years of college at Ivy Tech at roughly half the cost of a four-year institution.
Indiana is working to help you transfer college credits more easily. To enable students to connect college credits, Indiana has developed the Core Transfer Library (CTL) – a list of courses that will transfer among all Indiana public college and university campuses, assuming adequate grades. For more information on this initiative, visit www.transferin.net In addition there are some specific Ivy Tech transfer programs as the college works with several universities to offer unique transfer programs. (Lisa: I would limit to Degree Link, IUPUI Passport and BSU CONNECT) Need more information? Click Here for “Transfer Tips” and always remember to check with your receiving institution (the four-year school where you intend to transfer) to ensure course/degree transferability.
