Advanced Manufacturing
The Advanced Manufacturing Technology program is designed to prepared students for the modern manufacturing environment.  This program will prepare you for employment with companies that have implemented team oriented design, production, quality, and maintenance systems within the manufacturing environment.

American manufacturers are becoming increasingly dependent upon the use of high-tech equipment that involves multiple, integrated system. It is critical that these companies be able to recruit and employ individuals  who know how to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain this high-tech equipment.

"I am a senior engineering tool designer.  I am responsible for the designs and re-designs of fixtures, gages and tooling for gas turbine engine components. . . Fixtures to secure the parts while they are being machined. . . Gages to check the dimensions and features of the parts to make sure they were machined within the limits of the part prints . . Tooling to do the actual metal removal of the parts.  I am a proud graduate of the class of 1981 from Ivy Tech with an associate degree in Industrial Drafting Design Technology."
