CNA Preparation
CNA Preparation (HHS 107) is a five (5) credit course. Students attend class or clinical at a LTC Facility for 8 hours two days each week for 8 weeks. The state rules require 105 hours of both class and clinical time.

If you miss one class or clinical day, you will be dropped from the class. At the completion of the 8 week course students will take the state approved final examination with a state testing agency. The Indiana State Department of Health regulates HHS 107. Specific attendance is required.

Once the course begins, no others can start if they are not physically present for the initial hours of the course.

Again, if a registered student is not present and a non-registered student is present; we may drop the registered student and register the new student. If a student enrolled for the course but has not paid tuition, the student will be dropped from the course. Qualified students must be able to read and write English and calculate simple math problems.

Also, be in physical condition to do the work required of a nursing assistant. Students must furnish a uniform. An Ivy Tech Community College School of Health Sciences Health Statement with 2-step TB Test and results must be completed prior to beginning of class.
