In fall, 2008, students can earn an Associate of Applied Science degree at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana-Central Indiana in 24 months by following the College for Working Adults format. CWA is for students pursuing an A.A.S. in Business Administration with a Management specialty. The business program prepares students to work in the corporate world, manage and own a business, or transfer to a four-year college or university.

Graduates of the program leave with the basic understanding of the principles of management and the broad background they need for general administrative positions in a variety of business environments. They are prepared to work in most small businesses as an assistant manager or as a junior staff member in larger businesses. Annual salaries for such positions range from $18,000- $30,000. Business administration/management includes entry level management positions in retail, clerical, customer service, human resources, sales or miscellaneous publications and promotional materials design. Students develop an understanding of accounting principles, business law, marketing and related areas of study in the business field.
