The Ceremony
The Commencement ceremony lasts approximately two hours.  Students’ names will be announced and students will cross the stage to be recognized for their achievements.  Family and friends are invited to attend.

Commencement Day
Arrive at the West Pavilion by 1 p.m. to line up.  Look for your program chair.  Be sure to leave all valuables, including purses and coats with friends or family prior to the 1 p.m. line up. 

Proper Attire
Women should wear a dress or skirt outfit and low-heeled, dark shoes.  A collar is provided with each woman’s commencement robe.  Men should wear a shirt, tie and dark shoes.  Tennis shoes are not appropriate.  Please press your robe before arriving for the ceremony.

Honor Graduates
Honor graduates participating in the graduation ceremony will receive honor cords.  These cords are given to the students by the program chair when they line up for the Commencement ceremony.

Special Arrangements
Students with special needs should contact (317) 921-4982 by April 18, 2008 to make arrangements.  Ushers will be at the ceremony to assist family members with special needs.  Interpreters for the deaf are provided.
