Scholarships

Scholarships are an important part of the financial aid process at       Ivy Tech Community College - Central Indiana.


Scholarships are gift-aid and do not require repayment.

Interested applicants must meet the basic eligibility criteria before applying.

Basic Eligibility Criteria:

  • Complete the Ivy Tech Community College Application for Admission.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and indicate Ivy Tech Community College-Central Indiana is to receive your information. The school code is 009917
  • Have a completed file with the Office of Financial Aid.  To check the status of your file, please follow the instructions outlined in the Frequently Asked Questions.
  • Have a minimum 2.0 college GPA unless noted otherwise. (First time-students at Ivy Tech Community College-Central Indiana not meeting the GPA requirement are still encouraged to apply.)
  • Be or plan to be degree-seeking
  • Plan to enroll at Ivy Tech Community College - Central Indiana

Scholarship Tips:

  • A new scholarship application must be submitted for each semester.
  • Before beginning the application, it is encouraged that you complete a scholarship search to view any additional requirements for the scholarships in which you meet the criteria.
  • Plan ahead and have your Student ID number and GPA information available when you begin your application.  This information can be obtained via Campus Connect 
  • Some scholarships require a letter of recommendation.  If you are submitting your application close to the scholarship deadline, please be aware of the time restraints that may be put on the recommender. 
  • Applicants will be considered for all the scholarships in which they meet the criteria.
  • Meeting the application requirements and scholarship criteria does not guarantee you will be awarded a scholarship.
  • Spelling, grammar, mechanics, and the overall completeness of your application will be considered during the selection process. 
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
  • Some scholarship recipients will be required to submit a thank-you letter before scholarship funds are released.
  • Federal regulations require that we consider all of your resources when determining eligibility for financial aid.  Receipt of a scholarship may change the composition of your financial aid award, and in some cases, may reduce your student loans or Federal Work-Study amounts.
  • Changes to applications are not permitted, once the application is submitted.
