Academic Excellence
  • For students who have completed a minimum of 36 credit hours and have achieved dean's list status for at least two semesters
  • 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Completed 36 credit hours at Ivy Tech Community College .
  • Must submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, division chair or academic dean.

ASN Legacy Scholarship

  • Maintain min. 3.0 GPA in prerequisite and nursing classes
  • Financial Need

Bright Ideas in Broadripple Scholarship
  • Financial need
  • preferably single parent

Charles E. Schell Foundation

  • Between ages of 18 and 25
  • Min. 2.0 GPA
  • Loyal to the U.S. and its institutions
  • Recipient must sign promissory note to repay the loan (not a grant)

Crossroads IAAP

  • Current IAAP Student Member in good standing
  • 3.2 GPA or higher

Daniel J. Deno Firefighters Scholarship

  • The applicant cannot be a previous recipient of this scholarship.
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
  • Status as a volunteer firefighter is preferred, but all firefighters applying will be considered.
  • Does not have to be seeking a degree
  • Public Safety/Fire Science Specialty must be declared the major.
  • Must provide documentation that indicates the applicant's current membership with a fire department, or an organized volunteer fire department (letter from fire chief, etc.).

Early College Academy Grant
  • To help students earn college credits prior to high school graduation
  • Be in grades 9 through 12
  • Must have successfully earned a minimum of 6 credits in Ivy Tech Community College academic program level credits during the academic year with a 2.5+ GPA.
  • 6 credits during the summer and required to participate in Early College Academy
  • Scholarship pays tuition and fees only

Finish Line Grant

  • Designed to help students who are attending Ivy Tech Community College and are within 15 hours of graduation and are experiencing financial difficulties that could inhibit degree completion.
  • Must have completed 45 credits in an academic program and earned a 2.5+ GPA

Fine Arts Department Scholarship
  • Financial Need
  • Enrolled in Fine Arts Program

Ford/EEOC Scholarship
  • Minority and/or female
  • Preference given to employees of Ford Motor Co. and their spouses or children
  • Proof of connection to Ford must be submitted

Futures Unlimited

  • Financial need
  • First generation college student
  • Priority will be given to minorities, dislocated workers, women re-entering the workforce, and/or individuals who receive public assistance.

Ganassi Scholarship

  • Student enrolled in Automotive Technology Program
  • Recipient must win a hands-on contest in which students create a car that runs from a competition package developed by reps from racing teams

GED Scholarship
  • Complete the Ivy Tech placement test. Submit a cop7 of the test results.
  • Submit a copy of your GED scores (minimum of 54 if taken before January 2002 and 540 if taken in January 2002 or later).
  • Submit two completed recommendations forms. If you are employed, one form should be completed by your current employer. If you are unemployed, the forms should be completed by a teacher, minister, or other individuals who know you well.

General Student Scholarship

Greathouse Scholarship

  • Enrollment in Hospitality Program
  • Completion of at least 24 credit hours
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Priority will be given to those applicants with disabilities

Harvey Poling Scholarship
  • Financial need
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
  • 28 years of age or older
  • Completed at least half of program level courses in an area of choice

Hispanic/Latino Grant

  • Student must be Hispanic or Latino

Holmes Endowed Scholarship

  • First generation college student
  • Degree declared student
  • Completed at least one semester
  • Financial need
  • Enrolled in at least six credit hours
  • Reference from employer or faculty member

Incentive Retention Grant
  • To retain Ivy Tech students who are experiencing financial difficulties
  • Must have earned program-level credit.
  • The grant is awarded on an incentive basis - half the funds are awarded at the beginning of the term and half are awarded at the end of the term if the student successfully completes (2.5 GPA) the term

Jerry Jasinowski Fund for Manufacturing and Industrial Technology

  • US Citizen who has completed at least one semester in the manufacturing program
  • 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Financial Need
  • Two to four letters of recommendation required

Jim Anderson Memorial Scholarship

  • Enrolled in Culinary Arts Program
  • Financial Need
  • Completed at least 24 credit hours
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Priority will be given to those applicants with disabilities

Margaret Ann Karnes Scholarship
  • Successfully completed at least 1 semester and 6 credit hours
  • 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Financial Need
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
  • Priority will be given to those applicants with disabilities that limit their mobility

MBDA Scholarship

  • Primary is financial need with all other financial aid opportunities exhausted.
  • Resident of Indiana
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours of Specialty Core Classes per semester
  • 2.5 GPA average in Specialty Core classes
  • Gen. Ed. core classes do not count towards the 6-hour requirement.

MLK Scholarship

  • Student must be African American

Macy "Al" Davis Scholarship
  • Enrolled in automotive technology, machine tool technology, or industrial manufacturing programs
  • Completion of at least 1 semester and 6 credit hours
  • Financial Need
  • Male
  • 25 years of age or older
  • Cumulative GPA between 2.0 and 3.9
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credits

Opportunity Endowed Scholarship

  • Student meets one or more of these criteria:
  • Work 30 hours or more per week
  • Single parent
  • First in family to attend college
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
  • Must complete degree from Ivy Tech within four years

Radiologic Technology Scholarship
  • Student enrolled in Radiological Tech Program

Sonia Dickerson Scholarship

  • Financial Need
  • Enrolled in health-related study program

Special Program Costs Grant
  • Assists students who have higher than normal start-up costs and expenses (automotive technology, hospitality, machine tool, welding, etc.)
  • Must be enrolled in an academic program with higher than normal costs for supplies and material.
  • Must submit proof of expenses
  • This is awarded for one semester only and is not to exceed $500.

Teachers Credit Union
  • Award pays tuition only

Urban Scouts Scholarship
  • Financial Need
  • Participated in Boy or Girl Scouts in Marion County
  • Preference given to students not receiving a Pell grant.

Working Man's Friend
  • Enrolled fulltime
  • GPA 2.5 or higher

Working Student Grant
  • To assist students who are under 24 years of age and demonstrate no financial aid eligibility or dependent students who are unable to provide parental income information and unable to submit a FAFSA.
  • Must submit proof of employment and self-sufficiency.

Weyerhaeuser Scholarship
  • Financial Need
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Completed at least 50% of program level course work
  • Declared degree in Industrial Technology or Electronics Technology
  • 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours

To be considered for  Fall 2009 scholarships, student must be registered for classes, complete the online scholarship application, and have a complete file with the Financial Aid Office.  Please observe these deadlines:

Priority application deadline:  March 10.  Enrollment deadline: July 15. (Award pending grade verification and enrollment deadline of July 15)

Final application deadline: July 15.
