Resume Preparation and Interview Skills

Develop techniques for creating an effective resume and cover letter or have your current resume critiqued by trained employment counselors.  Get interview tips and prepare for your next interview through mock interviews and guidelines for proper dress and etiquette.  We can also provide information on organizations who may be able to help you obtain an interview outfit for free. 

Online Job Board

Reduce the amount of time it takes to find a part-time, full-time, or internship position.  Using our online job board, JobZone, we can assist you in finding a place of employment.  By uploading your resume to JobZone, you can apply directly to positions and internships that you are interested in.  In addition, you can make your resume available for employers to view.  You will also receive emails notifiying you of some of the newest postings, as well as upcoming events on campus and in the surrounding community.

Internships

Most employers will expect you to have work experience in your career industry an d if you don't have any, it will really hurt you in your job search.  So how do you get work experience in your career field?  An internship!!!  Internships are often paid and will provide you with a great opportunity to network, apply your knowledge, and gain relevant work experience.  To begin, register on JobZone.  You can also contact Career Services for more help in obtaining an internship.
