Visiting / Guest Student

Getting started as a visiting / guest student at Ivy Tech Community College - Central Indiana is easy.

Step 1: Apply for admission at www.ivytech.edu/apply-now.html. Choose "courses only" as degree option.


Step 2: Meet with an academic advisor to verify that you meet the requirements to take the courses you wish to take. Our academic advisors are located in Student Services.  Please bring copies of any previous college transcripts (unofficial are acceptable). If you do not meet the pre-requisites, you may be asked to take the COMPASS placement test or be directed to other courses.

Step 3: Pay for classes - You will not be eligible to use financial aid as a courses-only student. Your enrollment is not complete until you have arranged to pay your tuition. Tuition payments can be made via the following options:

  • In Person: Please visit the Bursars Office at the North Meridian Center Campus or Lawrence Campus. Click here to view the Bursars Office hours
