Incoming Transfer Student
Seeking a degree or certificate at Ivy Tech Community College-Central Indiana Previously attended another college or university and seeking a degree or certificate at Ivy Tech

STEP 1

There's no application fee. Apply to Ivy Tech Community College by completing an Application for Admission in one of these three ways:

  • Submit an application online at www.ivytech.edu/applynow
  • Mail an application to the address provided on the application.
  • Submit the paper application in person at the Admissions Office at the North Meridian Campus or Lawrence Campus.

STEP 2

Submit Transcripts. Have the issuing institution mail your “official” transcripts to Ivy Tech Community College, Registrar’s Office, 50 W. Fall Creek Pkwy., North Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46208-5752. Transfer credit will be automatically applied only from “official” transcripts. You can bring a copy of your “unofficial” transcript or grade reports for academic advising purposes and initial course placement only.

STEP 2A

Complete Placement Testing if required. Go to the Academic Advising Center at the North Meridian Campus or Lawrence Campus to determine if you are eligible to have placement testing waived based on previous college courses. Math, reading, and writing assessments are used for course placement only. Picture I.D. required for placement testing.

STEP 3

Attend College Planning Sessions, or meet with an Academic Advisor. College Planning Session. Learn important information about Ivy Tech Community College and your degree program. Advisors will help interpret your previous college courses and/or placement results and complete your first semester schedule.

OR

Meet with an Academic Advisor or other advisor as assigned. The advisor will help select appropriate courses based on your educational goals, previous college courses, and/or placement test results. Academic advisors are located in the Academic Advising Centers at both campuses.

STEP 4

Submit your Course Enrollment Form and Obtain Your Student I.D. and Parking Permit. Submit your completed Course Enrollment Form to the Office of the Registrar at either the North Meridian Campus or the Lawrence Campus. The Registrar staff will issue a student I.D. and parking tag free of charge.

STEP 5

Pay Your Tuition. Students are responsible for any account balance after financial aid has been applied. Tuition payments can be made via the following options:

  • In person at the Bursar’s Office: North Meridian Center or Lawrence Campus
  • Secured Drop Box: Main Lobby of North Meridian Center of outside Student Services at Lawrence.
  • Online via Campus Connect: cc.ivytech.edu
  • Phone: Use the STARS line at 1-877-IVY-TECH
  • Mail to Bursar’s (Cashier’s) office, Ivy Tech Community College-Central Indiana.
