IVYT 101: First Year Seminar
IVYT 101 is a one credit hour Life Skills course designed to maximize the success of first time college students as they transition to higher education. Course topics include foundational study skills; building self-responsiblity; discovering self-motivation; mastering self-management; employing interdependence; gaining self-awareness; adopting life long learning; developing emotional intelligence; and basic computer skills for the college classroom.
IVYT 070: College and Life Success Skills
IVYT 070 is a three credit hour developmental course with the purpose of building success skills for college and beyond. IVYT 070 is highly recommended for students who test into two or more developmental courses, as well as students who would like to enhance their reading, note-taking, study and test preparation skills. Additional course topics include, building memory; learning styles; time management; appreciating diversity; use of technology; and career exploration.
