The mission of the Academic Advancement department is to instruct and prepare students to be successful in their college coursework. 

The goals of the area are:

• offer support and curricular options designed to enhance student engagement in learning
• provide for a smooth transition between developmental and program level course work
• enhance identification of specific learning deficits and barriers upon entry
• provide support to meet each student's needs.
