Below is brief description of updates made to the Full-Time Employee Handbook. We have established a direct link from this summary to each section in the handbook to provide you easy access to the update. Please be sure to review the updates carefully so you are fully aware of the changes.

Time Off
Family and Medical Leave Act Policy
  Types of Leaves    
      Family Leave   Updated to reflect the recent changes in the definition of “Son or Daughter”.  An employee may now request family medical leave for a child when the employee stands “in loco parentis” with a child. 
       
    Medical Leave   Updated to reflect the recent changes in the definition of “Son or Daughter”.  An employee may now request family medical leave for a child when the employee stands “in loco parentis” with a child.
             
Other Benefits
Educational Support   The Education Support policy has been revised to enhance the tuition assistance for faculty and staff seeking terminal degrees and those pursuing degree completion as a condition of employment.
