The College provides an opportunity for you to protect the majority of your
income if you become disabled while employed at Ivy Tech. You have the option
of enrolling in the Group Long-Term Disability Insurance Plan. You share the
premium cost of this protection with the College. Also, as an employee of the
College, you are covered by the Indiana State Worker's Compensation Act. This
act ensures that you will continue to receive a certain amount of compensation
if you are disabled as a result of a job-related injury.
