Chancellor's Vision

Ivy Tech Community College is strategically poised to enter perhaps the most exciting phase in our history. The community college mandate has set a course for a College even more responsive and connected to the local community than ever before. I am honored and humbled to be given the opportunity to lead during this exciting time of growth and change. Knowing that we make a difference in the lives of the students we serve is the ultimate reward and the driving force behind what has motivated me in my years of service at Ivy Tech.

As Chancellor my priorities are clear. Ivy Tech Community College Northeast will be driven by a dynamic strategic plan. While the plan involves numerous objectives and specific strategies, it can be characterized by four major thrusts which represent the hallmarks that will guide the College's growth and development.

Those hallmarks are:

1. continued growth and expansion of enrollment, facilities and land;
2. the continued development and implementation of a comprehensive career ladder system;
3. proliferation of community connections and value-added partnerships, and
4. continuous internal processes and quality improvement.

Ivy Tech is the educational fuel for the engine of workforce and economic development in the region and the state. Accomplishing our vision will require new ways of thinking about how education is delivered and supported in a collaborative model. We can not accomplish our mandate without your support.
