Workforce and Economic Development is a flexible, responsive arm of the college designed to service the:
- Needs of Employers for well educated, technically prepared workers capable of successfully competing in the global marketplace.
- Needs of Professionals for upgrades in skills and knowledge necessary to stay abreast of a changing technological and leadership-skills environment.
- Needs of the Public for interesting and convenient lifelong learning opportunities that promote personal growth and enrichment for all ages.
The WED division focuses attention on the development of short-term, flexibly scheduled courses designed to fulfill business and personal needs. Curriculum is developed in consultation with the client, experienced WED Project Consultants, and professionals from business, industry, and academia to ensure that the recommended training is current, relevant, and applicable.
