The following is a current listing of the scholarships offered by Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana - Fort Wayne to qualified and deserving students. These scholarships range from the Ivy Tech General Grant Fund to others that require the applicant to be in specific academic programs or meet other specific donor requirements.
Unless otherwise indicated, the application for all these awards is made by completing the Scholarship Application Form electronically or by obtaining one from the Financial Aid Office.
Your request will be reviewed to determine your eligibility for specific awards based on the scholarship criteria and funding levels. It is therefore important to pay close attention to each scholarship's individual eligibility requirements when making application.
Since these are scholarships, academic success is an important factor in the selection process. With a few exceptions, academic success in your Ivy Tech program classes and future potential in your career are major factors in awarding the scholarships.
Since financial need is a criterion for the majority of these awards, it is strongly recommended that you have a FAFSA on file before applying. The majority of these scholarships are awarded during the late spring and summer for the following academic school year. Therefore, application should be made by June 30th or the date stated in the individual scholarship description for maximum consideration. Occasionally, limited awards may be available during the academic year depending on usage and funding.

The above information lists only those awards that Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana - Fort Wayne has control over. There are many other areas that a student should investigate when applying for outside scholarships. Your high school counselor's office is an excellent location to find out about awards that are awarded through organizations in your local community. Even if you graduated several years ago they are willing to help you. You should also check with local service groups, churches and organizations you or family members belong to. Your or your parent's employers are often valuable sources of tuition assistance. If you meet their specific criteria, you may be eligible for assistance through Vocational Rehabilitation or JobWorks in your local community. To search for scholarships on a larger basis, you can go to our Web site and link to the scholarship websites listed. These are all good sites for aid information but keep in mind that you will be competing with a larger group of applicants when applying for these awards.
Finally, if a scholarship site requests money or personal financial information to help you apply for an award, I would suggest going to another site. Paying a fee to apply for aid does not always mean that you will receive better information.
