All Stafford student loans must be originated through the Financial Aid Office. If your FAFSA is complete, and you indicated on the form that you want student loans, you will automatically be awarded a student loan. You must accept, decline or reduce your loans in your Campus Connect account.

In addition, you must complete Entrance Counseling for your student loan and sign an electronic authorization form to use your aid for books and supplies. For additional information, access your Campus Connect account (click Student Services, then select "Check Your Financial Aid Status" in the box titled "Financial Aid.")

FEDERAL STAFFORD LOAN PROGRAM (Subsidized and Unsubsidized)
Description: Variable interest rate; subsidized interest paid by federal government while in school; unsubsidized interest repayment begins upon disbursement
Eligibility: Enrolled at least half time
Application: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

FEDERAL PARENTAL LOAN FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS (PLUS)
Description: Fixed interest rate
Eligibility: Parent of dependent student enrolled at least half time; based on credit rating
Application: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
