IVY 070 - College and Life Success Skills (3 Cr.)

Prerequisite: Minimum entry assessment at the ENG 024 or ENG 031 level.

Increases success in college by assisting students in obtaining skills necessary to reach their educational objectives. Includes time management, memory techniques, textbook reading, note taking, test taking and resource utilization.

This class is designed to enhance success within the classroom, but also within the workplace, the community and the home. Students will be given the opportunity to enhance their skills in note-taking, test-taking, time management, technical reading and writing, accessing resources and communication in and out of the classroom.

A fast-paced and lively class, IVY 070 has enhanced student performance as measured by higher retention rates (meeting academic goals) and better performance (higher Grade Point Average.)
